Nursing burnout will continue to increase as businesses strive for profitability in an environment where insurance companies and government strive to cut costs. Nurses and patients are stuck in the middle of this tug of war.
Why didn't the practical nurse call a code right away? What is going on in that hospital?
Why was the nurse floated? Were there multiple sick calls? Was there an unusual workload? While the nurse does bear responsibility here, it seems there are some institutional factors which are not addressed.
Why do we need to give our social security?
It's impossible to give people immortality, and that's what I think people expect. This is why we have a shortage of people willing to work in healthcare.
This needs to be updated. It's age 45 now.
Outrageous case.
400 thousand dead patients per year due to medical malpractice. Nice be proud what you are doing
Never use this her!
Sumus Medius - by P.J. O’Rourke We will take all your clothes off And get you undressed, And diddle around With the parts we like best. We’ll poke you and probe you And peek everywhere, And laugh at your body While you’re standing right there. We can tell you whatever pops into our mind- We might call your backache A cancerous spine, We might tell you your freckles Are dread melanoma, Or say you were out For a fifty-year coma. We’ll anesthetize you At seven A.M. And play gin on your face Till a quarter past ten. We’re doctors And we can remove your whole brain, Poke your eyes out with fly rods And never explain; Rip out your kidneys and feed them to cats, Or cut off your buttocks And wear them like hats.

Nurse practitioners are NURSES NOT DOCTORS!!! They wanted and needed a real MD. You baited and switched fraud! Nurses do what the md's tell them to and collect & report info to them. You should NEVER allow any np to act on any md's behalf for anything including diagnosing and prescribe any type of medications! EVER! Hello! They have never attended any kind of medical school! Or had half of the science courses as md's. And you wonder why people die! Of course they cant get it right because they do not even know! This is so illegal. And an absolute vile heinous unethical & immoral atrocity crime against people. Same regarding PA's. Neither one should be left unattended on their own doing this stuff.
So don't you think if you're going to say it's important to document correctly, you should decide if he's 49 or 47???
Did they give conflicting ages? It happened over a couple years
wont find dislikes here! Merry Christmas to all
Happy Holidays to you all ❤️
Happy Holidays everyone! May this coming year be a better one for us all.
As a retired RN-words cannot express how proud I am of all of my colleagues! We have always been hard working hero’s. NOW the world sees us👍🏻👍🏻 Congratulations to all of you-I pray for your health and safety every day and that of your coworkers and patients🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Have many patients looking for assistance around medical malpractice and hospital negligence. Involves 5 billion annually in the US alone. Dr. Bennet Omalu famous for findings in the NFL of CTE is now on record stating similar outcomes anticipated in this population seeking assistance. Current national product liability suit taking place associated with this and CA courts have proved brain injury outcomes. ua-cam.com/video/369_F0ZbeZc/v-deo.html
This is stupid. The NP did all the appropriate initial steps. They told him to get a colonoscopy. He refused. You can't help him if he doesn't want the proper diagnostic tests.
Wonder if you’d have the same attitude if the patient were yt.
i completely agree with u.....too much is said about medical negligence....what happens if the pt is negligent about his own health???
She failed to document on her notes the recommendation for colonoscopy and his refusal. That's what did her in...
@@curliefro My doctor writes while she's talking to me. She spends all the time we need to find out how I am. She urges me to get the treatments done that she thinks will keep me healthy. I'm sure she is busy, too.
@@barbarahenninger6642 Doctors can lie, you know that right? Friend is going through a case where a doctor claimed they recommended something in their notes they never actually recommended. Fried is smart and audio records every visit on their phone secretly. Safe to say they got it in the bag.... Do you just assume she is telling the truth just “because she’s a doctor”? You realize what is on the line for her don’t you?
Went to a Dr back over a year ago ..The nail on my thumb was starting to turn black and crumbly .. I was told it was a fungal infection and prescribed a fungal medicine to take internally . I asked . Isn't this a sign of melanoma ? and was told no . I had blood work done and everything was fine except fro elevated white blood cell count .. I was asked " Are you under a lot of stress ?' Yes and she attributed it to that Case Closed .. It's didn't dawn on me later that generally elevation in white blood cell count could be the body fighting something .. I took her at her word .. It was almost a year later .. I took the advice of cleaning the thumb and washing it .. It got worse and one day I was lifting a pair of jeans and I dropped them .. The hook of the hanger ripped my finger open since the nail was dissolved . . I said " I got to go somewhere were I can get a better help " I went to a Dr that was a Hand Surgeon .. I knew him since I built his house years ago .. I went in .. and I was seen by a PA .. immediately she went and got the surgeon .. Came in and looked .. Asked me how long has it been like this ? . I said a year .. Immediately anestized my hand and scalped out pieces .. He told me it looked like melanoma at the time .. Sent away for lab .. Came back . Malignant Melanoma .. .. Said regardless the thumb has to be removed and the first signs of melanoma is a striping in the nail .. and at the juncture is when the thumb should have been removed !!! .. Without saying .. He was telling me it was misdiagnosed .. I was referred to have a duel surgery .. One to remove my thumb and the other to biopsy my sentinel lymph nodes .. The biopsy came back as Stage III Melanoma and had traveled to my lymphs .. I was recommended unto a Regional Oncologist to run an MRI on my brain since this is where this type of cancer has a highest probability to spread to . and a PET scan this week . Then the following week to see where else it has spread .. I have already had two positive diagnosis of cancer and awaiting the 3rd .. Last year I was dismissed when I inquired .. Prescribed medicine for an ailment I didn't have .. Most people dismissed me when " They never heard cancer can form in your thumb .. Well It does !! Now I do not know how long I have or it can be beaten ..
I'm so sorry
Are you okay? Much love. Thank you for sharing im sure it will help someone some day
Thank you for sharing your story… prayers seem in adequate, but since I do not know you, it is all I can do. So I will pray for you and your family, for healing, and especially for peace, no matter the outcome. Because this must be a very scary time for you. Peace and love to you… Also, if it were me, I’d be very angry. But I will pray that your anger is reduced in order to allow you wonderful time with those you love, and so it frees you from not noticing good things. That doesn’t mean you should not file a complaint with your states Board of Nurse Examiners. I don’t wish the NP loss of license, but she/he must never be so careless again. Let me know if you need help finding the phone number or anything. Other litigation is up to you.
@@imlistening1137 Well .. It was in the last year upgraded to Stage 4 Melanoma . Caught between trying to find a lawyer and deal with massive frustration. Had to say Que Sera Sera . Whatever will be , will be . So I gave up on the pursuit of lawyering .. Most lawyers don't want to pick it up unless it's in their eyes a cash cow , slam dunk case .. So I had to leave the past behind and forget The Mistake and put my hope in Real Healthcare Experts .. Not some NP that probably got her degree online after a two week correspondence course . Looking back . She seemed more concerned to get in and get out ,. In this last year and a half . I have been educated personally on Cancer . Treated by a team of professionals that care .I went in for a $200 office visit back then and it has exploded to $30,000 a month now. By The Grace of God , I am getting the best treatment , The 5 year survivability is slim even with the best care .. Pursuit of litigation for me is over with . No sense in kicking a dead horse . These are the cards I have been dealt and I can't go back and correct it
@@IVORY123100 I wish you the very best. It’s most wise to do the things that bring you peace.

What an Issue that needs to be Told to alot of patients on failure to diagnose all symptoms that occur with any type of injury
Pharmacists need to be put on notice they will be sued if they continue to stand in the way of a doctor and their patient. If you ever had your prescription for anything written by your doctor turned down by a pharmacy and it causes you some harm like continued pain or anxiety, please please sue them and do not give because you will eventually win.
